Q: Do you provide meals and snacks?
A: Yes! We offer a healthy morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack daily, all prepared in accordance with Canada’s Food Guide. See Our Sample Menu
Q: What if my child has allergies?
A: We are a nut-aware centre and work closely with families to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies.
Q: What are your hours of operation?
A: We’re open Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM For Baby Blossom . We’re open Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM for all other classrooms. We are closed on statutory holidays.
Q: Do you offer part-time care?
A: Yes, part-time care is available depending on room availability. Please inquire for current options.
Q: What does a typical day look like?
A: Children enjoy a mix of indoor play, outdoor time, structured activities, and rest.
Q: Will my child go outside every day?
A: Yes, we prioritize outdoor play daily—weather permitting. We need the children to be dressed appropriately for the weather. Please check out our parent handbook for the details.
Q: How do I register my child at Tender Loving Daycare?
A: Apply online through OneList Waterloo Region at regionofwaterloo.onehsn.com. There's no fee to apply and no deposit until a space is offered. You'll receive a confirmation email once your application is submitted.
Q: How is the watilist ordered? A: Priority is given in this order: staff/siblings already at the centre, returning TLD families with a registration package, families who've completed a tour and registration, then by application date.
Q: How will I know my waitlist status? A:You can log into OneList anytime to check your application. You can also contact the Supervisor directly for an update on available spaces.
Q:What happens when a space become available? A: The Supervisor will contact you to offer the space. A two-week security deposit is required to hold your spot, which is applied to your last week of care.
Q: What does registration involve? A:You'll attend an orientation, receive a copy of the parent handbook, and complete enrollment forms. Your child is also encouraged to do at least one play visit to their classroom before their start date.
Q: What happens if my child gets sick at daycare?
A: We’ll contact you immediately. They MUST be fever-free for 24 hours without medication & Free from vomitting & diarreha for 48 hrs from last symptom. They are eating, drinking, and participating normally in daycare activities. They have received appropriate treatment (if required) and no longer pose a risk to others In some situations, public health guidelines may require extended exclusion or testing.
Q: What safety measures are in place?
A: Our staff are trained in First Aid & CPR. We conduct regular emergency drills and follow strict safety protocols.
Q: How will I know how my child is doing each day?
A: Educators provide daily updates at pickup and through communication.
Q: Can I visit during the day?
A: We encourage parent involvement, through special activities/events & after hour parties. If you have another way to in rich our program please let us know.
