Program Highlights Both our centres and programs are fully licensed by the Ministry and Community and Social Service. Our facilities are also inspected by the Cambridge building, fire and health departments. All requirements have been met in order to maintain a safe and healthy environment for your child. Our facilities are located on the ground floor and are bright and welcoming. The classrooms have all been created with a variety of learning centres for the children to explore daily. All of our classrooms are outfitted with computers and software geared to the learning stages of the children. Our curriculum is unique to Tender Loving Daycare. We offer a combination of a traditional theme-based program with some emergent qualities. Each classroom follows a daily schedule for snacks/mealtime, programmed learning activities, washroom routines, afternoon naptime and outdoor play time. A complete schedule of events is posted outside each classroom for parents to view. Our programmed learning activities and centres offer weekly themes through which the children have an opportunity to explore creative art, sensory, science, dramatic play, manipulative toys, language development and much more. Complete weekly program plans are posted on our parent board and a monthly calendar of events is sent home for parents who wish to participate. Tender Loving Daycare is not just a place for children to grow and learn. We are also a resource to parents and families as well. We accomplish this through regular Parent newsletters with tips and advice, through organizing various social gatherings and events that allow families and parents to network and meet other members of the community as well as through offering centre workshops and seminars on various parental and family issues facing our community.
